- About Me:
- ...Although I graduated from college with a degree in education, my passions have always included 'creating' beauty. At this time, after discovering the dazzling 'world of beads', I've been 'weaving' jewelry from an abundant selection of semi-precious gems, Swarovski crystals, seedbeads, art glass and sterling silver 'findings', beads and clasps. I weave this jewelry with a needle and strong, but delicate, braided amalgamated nylon thread. Classic seedbead weaving is a very old art. Many of the designs I use are derived from early American Indian traditions. I combine some old patterns thereby creating 'new' ones. Working with beads is, for me, a form of relaxation and joy. My beautifully woven, one-of-a-kind necklaces can be found within my other ETSY shop, "TinkersTrinkets".
I also have always been interested in drawing and/or painting. I began my 'reinterest' just recently by creating 'mini' (ACEO size) water colors. Because of their size, they are a very affordable original piece of art. As I experienced success creating these smaller watercolors, I began to expand my canvas and am now painting larger watercolors, as well.
