Born in Kolkata_ India
Art education at
Govt. College of Art and Craft (Calcutta) 1971 to 1976.
Senior Lecturer of Graphic Design & Aplied Art.
Govt. College of Art and Craft, Calcutta, at present.
Worked on traditional Indian textiles with Weavers’ Service Centres 1978 to 2000/ Govt of India.
Had many Solo and Group shows with a few awards in credit.
Paintings are in private collections in and outside India.

- About my art
- I am very much obsessed with my personal and enigmatic life experiences. My works say about different phases of my life in various time and places. I express myself directly in drawing & painting and hardly can
overcome the self to create a generalized pleasing visual statement. I am more out of self, thinking about the user, while doing textile or graphic designs. I love Poetry and write frequently. My poems and research articles are published in Indian Magazines & Journals.
