Profile Information

About Me:
I got my first camera when I was a kid, and I started photography quite young. I stopped for some years to start again in my 20's and stopped again. I am a disabled Human rights activist fighting for my own rights for several years now and down to the wire for honest neurlogical medical care in a very corrupt medical system in canada which our government supports at all costs to cover for. I have been denied honest neurlogical medical care and repeatedly and badly brain/body damaged with movement disorders as well that are worsening, and very ill with ME/CFS/FM for near 20 years bed/house confined totally now until get care i need. I love(d) nature, canoeing, sunshine, my private beach, bicycle riding. I was always social but a loner as well, and independent. Now i have to have someone to help me function and keep me alive and do things I am unable. Have thought about joining here for some time but didn't as I am not making any art right now. focus on help for my situation or post for palestine and other issues important to me, i have a canadian political group on care2.com called Canadians Proactive and Global Citizens and working on website for help for me, and have several blogs, only 1 is open, and a youtube channel i think i named wrong. I am 4th generation canadian and have travelled my country several times so I wouldn't know it out of a book. I subscribe to several artist blogs through my blog dash board/or email to keep me in touch with what I may want to turn to again. It is apart of me that has been denied along time now. I started taking art classes when a child at the Royal Ontario Museum and did clay work, and stain glass as well, many many years ago. I often used, used materials to make my art. nothing fabulous, well I think my wall is, and a few others, i miss it alot.

I also support a child her name is Kainda well she is a woman now, soon, and her family in Chad, africa since she was 3, in 1996, she will be 16 this year. it hasn't been easy as I am on disability. Her and her community have come so far, they really need the support over the long term to become self sufficent. It took many years before I saw a smile in her eyes, let alone her whole face.

Are You artist?
Yes
About my art
I used to do photography (I still get the odd picture in hard house/bed bound), and produced and directed audio visual shows, large ones for corporations. Also water colour, and sketching, very primitive, and writing, I used to write alot, poetry, journalling. i haven't since i was brain damaged, and learning to make videos now for me, and later for creative purposes. i hope to paint, i used to do creative projects, collages on walls, my wall here is hand painted by me years ago, and other projects. i think it would help me heal..

Cheryl
You are very welcomed here.
I am honored that you join this network and I am happy to have you as friend and as companion in the struggle for the Palestinian people and for human rights.
Artists sometimes have a too big ego. I am very glad that this is not your case.
Hugs and Peace
