- About Me:
- I was born and grew up in New York City. My first love was poetry and I attended the Writer’ Workshop at the University of Iowa. I did graduate work at New York University in English Literature. I worked in Journalism for several newspapers including the New York Times.
I am a self taught painter who has explored a variety of mediums
including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, collage, mixed media, enamel etc.
My most recent shows were at the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center in Brooklyn, NY (a group show called Brave Destiny) and a one man show at Wisdom House in Litchfield County, CT.

- About my art
- A poet and songwriter for many years, I stumbled into painting 20 years ago after
the loss of my eldest son. Painting became a way for me to transform my relationship with him from a material into a spiritual context.
Since then painting has become a way for me to explore and express my own soul and my spiritual relationship with life.
In the abstract paintings of the last 10 years I have tried to move beyond my own personal drama to celebrate the ongoing creation of the cosmos that all life participates in.
