Profile Information

About Me:
i am a research analytical sociologist, specialised in environmentalism. my life has been a migration in one word. more some other time.
at the age 23 i was married in Groningen, in north Netherlands, to a man three months younger, a sound technician engaged at an arty-pop music group Desert Courbusier, but the marriage felt apart two months later. he was from the neighbourhood of Leeuwarden, where the famous graphic Escher was born and worked. it was Cold war period then and we were anti-nuc-war and global reconciliation peace activists. he left me for a popular women, a radio moderator, some years older woman than i. i was still a student then and my study and family got stressed coonsequently, too. it was a total social disaster, which consequented from his ignorant attitude for me and the social millieu. i moved in with an underground art movement group in the city and stayed there two difficult years. as i left, i said to myself never to return to the north Netherlands again.
after the misery war and economy crisis years inYugoslavia, i have settled in Amsterdam since march 2002. i continue with my global and anti-hatery peace mission i have become dedicated to as i was 15. that was in 1975 after the terror incident at the Olympic games in Munchen in 1974.
i had a lot of questions on my mind which made me to change my profiliation direction; instead of an architect, i chose for social studies. i don't regret that, but people and also artists hardly imagine what a life of a devout woman 'intellectual' might have been like. if i was an artist, my life could become a perpetual dream. i have had all potentials for that, but more than one season model at an art academy, i didn't achieve in the field. yet i have learnt a lot about people. it is wonderful to be poor and talented! i have no children, i have one brother and he has one child. my mother's two older sisters have each 6/7 grandchildren, so have grandchildren nearly all of the uncles and aunts of mine. we have been a real family exception in all ways. i guess, so it has been happening to other aboriginal people .. endangered by the modernity.
Are You artist?
No
About my art
i regard art as my hobby. the most of all i am interested in traditional handcrafts and have learnt quite few to manage, but due to life circumstances and intellectual preferences, i didn't have enough opportunities to develope them to perfecy. i stimulated and taught my mother some advanced knitting though. she was doing 'reshallie' when going to a teacher's college during the 50'. my mother is of an ancient Alp-Mediterranean descendent, so is my father of the ancient Middle and Central asian. i learnt all my hobbies including nature loving and protecting from early childhood on, spending all holidays possible with my both families at a Panonic village countryside and a town's perifery in the east of Slovenia, west Croatia and Dalmatia sea resorts. Marco Polo was born on an island in south Dalmatia. many don't know that he wasn't italian, but a captive of venetian dozh domination during the early 12th century.

Beste Bojana

Shefqet
